Our annual car wash will be held on Saturday, September 11. The hours are 8:00 - 3:00. The students participate in shifts as follows using lastnames as a guide:
A - G: 8:00 - 10:30
H - Mc: 10:30 - 1:00
Mi - Z: 1:00 - 3:00
Students earn money toward their accounts by asking family and friends to pledge an amount per car washed. (This is the total washed all day long, not just during the student's shift.) The total # of cars washed reaches into the 100s, so the carwash can be a very lucrative way to earn money! Also, 2-4 adults are needed to help out during the entire car wash time frame, beginning with set up at 7:40 a.m.. Please consider assisting with this valuable volunteer opportunity. . (If you can only help part of the time, please contact her as well).
A pledge form is attached for your student's use, or feel free to use your own. And, remember, THIS FUNDRAISER IS MANDATORY! (The only money that will be credited toward your student's account is the money they raise through pledges.)

The first home game we will be marching in is scheduled for Saturday, September 11 (yes!, this will be a long day for students!!). Students need to be lined up and ready for inspection outside the media center at 6:00 pm. (For those new to band, the rule of thumb is 15 minutes earlier than any time that is posted!) Students should wear official white polo and navy blue shorts.

Parents, as you know, the band has begun practicing on the softball field. Mr. Clowes needs help lining the field. This is typically done once a week on your own schedule, and takes a little over an hour. If you are interested in volunteering to help out, please call Scott at 704-968-4256.
THANK YOU!! to the KRAMER family for volunteering! We appreciate you!!!

Greetings to all parents of rising 9th grade band students! Please read the letters and articles (see Band Documents) from East Mecklenburg High School Band Director Scott Clowes. They provide important information about your student's experience as a member of the East Mecklenburg Band.
